Easy Waffle Board For Brunch At Home

I’m a huge fan of brunch. I mean, who isn’t really?! But sometimes getting out of my sweat pants and into public feels just too much and I want to stay home on Sundays. So I came up with this Easy Waffle Board idea for when I want to have brunch at home!

Brunch can come to you, right?

Just a few ingredients

  • 1 Box Eggo Homestyle or Buttermilk Waffles
  • 1 Syrup / Sauce of Choice
  • 1 Jar of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Container of Strawberries
  • 1 Container of Blueberries
  • 1 Bag of Chocolate Chips

Here’s a super simple brunch board you can make for a tasty weekend treat.

For the past 4 years when I’ve been asked what I want to do for Mothers Day, my response was just that- stay home in sweats and have brunch at the same time. I stumbled upon this waffle board on Pinterest a few years ago and I have been making it for Mother’s Day ever since!

(Alternatively the colors of this waffle board also make it perfect for a 4th of July breakfast)

All the Waffle Board Ingredients:

  • 1 jar of peanut butter (or almond butter- usually I have both out!)
  • 1 bowl or can of whipped cream (fresh whipped cream tastes the best).
  • 1 syrup / sauce of choice (maple, caramel, chocolate, and strawberry are all delicious options )
  • 1 jar of Nutella
  • 1 box Eggo homestyle or buttermilk waffles
  • 1 box of Eggo mini homestyle waffles (or get blueberry or chocolate chip if you want a variety!)
  • 1 container of strawberries
  • 1 container of blueberries
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips

This sweet brunch board can always be made more savory with the addition of bacon, sausage if you prefer.

Method

Find a suitable board or platter: one that’s big enough to fit all your ingredients.

Wash and dry the fruit.

Put the peanut butter and whipped cream into small bowls and your syrup into a gravy boat. Heap Nutella onto a large spoon.

Place the peanut butter, whipped cream, syrup and Nutella near the edges of the board, leaving space between them.

I like to do this BEFORE I start heating the waffles. It can take a while to get things looking right if you haven’t put boards together before and if you’re stressing out that your waffles are going to be cold you’re going to make it even harder on yourself.

Heat / toast the waffles in the oven for 5 minutes or as per the instructions.

Place stacks of the large waffles at each end, opposite to each other or in the middle.

Have fun with it!
