Best Easy Pumpkin Bread Recipe

This easy pumpkin bread recipe has been perfected over time and is sure to leave your family wanting more. This pumpkin bread is perfectly moist, not-too-sweet and couldn’t be easier. It’s perfect for toasting and slathering with butter or cream cheese, and maybe a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter flavored shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (click the link to check out my favorite vanilla extract that I use for all things baking!)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- Grease the bottom and side of a one 9×5 inch loaf pan using non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Mix in the shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In the center pour in eggs, milk, pumpkin and vanilla.
- Mix well, then stir in nuts.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely
